SUBMISSION POLICY:
By submitting to The Swish Magazine, you agree to the following:
-
Your submission is your original work and has not been copied, plagiarized, or generated by artificial intelligence.
-
Any quotations, research, or outside materials are accurately attributed.
-
You have disclosed whether the piece has been published elsewhere or is currently under consideration by another publication.
-
Submission does not guarantee publication. Our editorial team selects pieces according to each issue’s theme, available space, and the needs of our readers.
-
If your piece is accepted, you grant The Swish permission to edit it for clarity, length, grammar, tone, and house style. Any substantial changes will be discussed with you before publication.
-
You grant The Swish the right to publish your contribution in its print and digital magazine, on its website, in its newsletter, and in promotional materials related to the piece or issue.
-
You retain ownership of your work and may republish it elsewhere after its appearance in The Swish, provided that its original publication in The Swish Magazine is acknowledged.
-
Unless otherwise arranged in writing, contributions are unpaid.
-
You are responsible for securing permission to use any photographs, artwork, quotations, or other copyrighted material submitted with your piece.
-
If selected, you agree to provide a short biography, headshot, website or social link, and any requested sources or image permissions by the stated deadline.
-
Acceptance may be withdrawn if deadlines are missed, required revisions are not completed, or the submission is found to contain inaccurate, misleading, or improperly attributed material.
We read every submission with care, though we can't always respond personally to every pitch. If your idea feels at home in an upcoming issue, a member of our editorial team will be in touch.
